The new solution, now available on eCommerce platform Wix, increases the scope of Degica’s support for Japanese merchants, enabling them to streamline the once laborious process of generating customer delivery labels for Japan Post
Today, Degica announces the launch of Unipostal, a logistics solution designed to enable merchants in Japan to rapidly and easily generate shipping labels for domestic orders.
The solution is now available on Wix, a leading global SaaS platform that enables its users to create, manage and grow an online presence.
“At Degica, our mission is to make Japan simple and create an even and global marketplace for goods and services,” says Jack Momose, CEO, Degica. “Our first step in this respect was to remove barriers to payment between different countries and cultures through our payments platform KOMOJU, and today I’m proud to be unveiling our next step: helping Japanese clients fulfil those orders in a faster, smoother and more efficient way.”
Unipostal represents an improvement in terms of efficiency for Japanese merchants using Wix Stores. Before the introduction of the solution, generating and printing labels for customer deliveries required some effort, with merchants having to go to the Wix dashboard, select the relevant data from the Orders tab, download a CSV file, and then process it to make it fit the format of the shipping label provided by the Japan Post for printing.
With Unipostal, however, Degica reduces this burden of the merchants for delivery operations. Available for download via the Wix App Market, the Unipostal app can be synchronised with orders on the Wix Stores dashboard in a single click – enabling merchants to create the shipping labels simply by selecting the relevant order and setting the delivery date. The app also generates a unique tracking number for each order, facilitating real-time, at-a-glance updates on the shipping status. Merchants using Wix Stores in Japan can also trial the Unipostal app before committing to any additional cost.
“I’m pleased to announce that Wix is now offering Degica’s new Unipostal app on the Wix App Market,” says Hideaki Tsumita, Country Manager, APAC & Japan at Wix. “We received many requests from Japanese merchants to help them simplify the delivery process, and, with this solution, we are responding to those users. Wix will continue to provide eCommerce features that meet the needs of the Japan market in cooperation with our partners, including Degica.”
Unipostal is the latest in a line of tools offered by Degica to make life easier for merchants selling internationally. These include KOMOJU – a payments platform that enables businesses to accept a broad range of popular payment methods in different countries around the world, including unique markets such as Japan, Korea and China.
