Who can participate?
Eligibility criteria
- You are a small and medium-sized business owner and meet the SME definition set by Japan’s Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (here)
- Your business is not affiliated with a publicly listed company, a large corporation.
- Your business is not from the excluded categories including travel agencies, accommodation providers (hotels, pensions, ryokans, guesthouses, etc.), transportation services (airlines, railways, buses, taxis, maritime transport, etc.), real estate, department stores, tobacco retailers, and certain B2B businesses etc.
- You have not been excluded/ rejected from this program earlier.
- You do not have any contracts related to the application of this program (including similar programs) either through payment service providers other than Degica, or with credit card companies other than those designated by Degica.
- This program primarily aims to promote card payments among stores that have never accepted them before.
Terms and conditions
- Must have a handling contract for Credit Cards only with our company.
- Abide by the prohibited items and agreements set by the international payment brands.
- Eligibility is reviewed frequently, If your total transaction volume over the 12 months preceding a review exceeds ¥20 million for Visa or ¥10 million for MasterCard, you will no longer qualify for the special pricing.
- This program may be available for a limited time only and the provider of the special program may terminate the program without prior notice.
- Provide the proof that you meet all the required conditions in case you are asked for it. You will need to pay back the differential fees if you are found misrepresenting the facts.
- Agree to share information related to your business and transaction volume with the card brands for eligibility check and monitoring purpose.
